Zero Hours agreement

This is a draft zero hours agreement, which can be adapted to suit any business situation. This type of arrangement does not oblige the Employer to offer work, but does oblige the worker to accept the assignment offered. It should be given to the worker prior to starting work, together with a written offer of engagement setting out any further particulars and requirements. This document provides a management guidance note explaining when it is appropriate to use this type of agreement. It goes on to explain how the zero hours arrangement will be operated, and sets out the basic terms of the arrangement including: how the work will be offered, hours of work, pay calculation, sickness and holiday information, notice rights and terminating the agreement
